At Eden High School students have the unique opportunity to grow and learn in a context where we recognize that we, as humans, are body, mind and spirit. Students will be invited to explore some of the bigger questions of life, and the perspective that the Bible has on the human story. The SLD Team is here to serve the student body, and to walk with them on this journey of discovery. Eden, a choice, and a place to discover.

Ed Heinrichs
Ed is returning to the Spiritual Life Department. He served as the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone during the past five years. Ed was part of the Spiritual Life Department from 1996-2005 during this time and since, he’s been involved in leading cross-cultural teams, speaking at Camps, retreats, developing discipleship programs and helping people to see their God-given potential. During his free time, there’s nowhere Ed would rather be than cruising the waters around Lake Ontario with his wife Cheryl and their two children.

Naomi Reimer
Naomi Reimer grew up in Alberta and moved to St. Catharines when she was 20. She met her husband soon after she moved, and served with him at a church in youth ministry for 7 years. Naomi enjoys enjoy the amazing blessing of marriage and a family, as she also has a daughter who is an incredible gift from God. Having a love for people, particularly youth, and getting to know their stories is an exciting way that Naomi continues to experience God’s incredible faithfulness in the ways that He pursues, loves and provides. She is so excited to have such an amazing opportunity to be a part of the SLD team and share with students her experience of God’s love and endless grace!

Meghan Thomson
Meghan grew up in Owen Sound and left to pursue a degree in Secondary English Education. After receiving her BA, she worked in Amsterdam for a year at a Christian Youth Hostel. She then moved to Calgary to complete a MA in Counseling. She worked at the Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre with women and couples who were facing unplanned pregnancies or other challenges in their relationships. She also spoke to students and parents in Calgary and the surrounding areas about healthy relationships and sexuality.
Meghan is excited to be part of the SLD team and is looking forward to connecting with students and encouraging them to learn of Christ and live for Christ.

John Bryan
John joined the SLD team in Aug. 2009. John came to us from Winona Community Church after 13 years of ministry there. The happily married father of two wonderful boys is wildly proud of his Irish heritage and has been a fantastic addition to Eden. He is passionate about following Christ, U2 and working with youth.
